Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Mamajuana Travel, we understand that plans can change. We've designed our cancellation policy to be fair and transparent. Please read it carefully before booking.

1. Free Cancellation

You may cancel your booking for a full refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled tour departure time. No questions asked.

2. Late Cancellations

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour: No refund will be issued. Our guides and logistics are committed at this point and we are unable to recover those costs.
  • No-shows: If you do not show up at the departure point at the scheduled time, no refund will be issued.

3. Tour Cancellations by Mamajuana Travel

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a tour due to:

  • Weather or safety conditions: Hurricanes, flooding, dangerous road conditions, or other events that would compromise your safety.
  • Minimum participant requirements not met: Some tours require a minimum number of participants.
  • Operational issues: Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

If we cancel your tour, you will receive either:

  • A full refund to your original payment method, or
  • The option to reschedule for a future date at no extra cost.

We will notify you as soon as possible if your tour needs to be cancelled.

4. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are processed via PayPal to the original payment account.
  • Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • PayPal processing fees (if any) are non-refundable in cases of customer-initiated cancellations.

5. How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, contact us through any of the following:

Cancellation requests are processed during business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM AST). Requests received outside business hours will be processed the next business day, but the receipt timestamp of your message will be used to determine whether the 24-hour policy applies.

6. Modification Policy

  • Date changes: You may change your tour date subject to availability. Date changes requested more than 48 hours before the tour are accepted at no extra charge.
  • Late date changes: Changes requested within 48 hours are subject to the cancellation policy and may be treated as a cancellation.
  • Participant changes: Adding or reducing travelers is subject to availability and may affect pricing.

7. Force Majeure

Mamajuana Travel shall not be liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, government actions, pandemics, or power outages. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer a reschedule option. Refunds in force majeure situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
